What is the Thailand Digital Entry Card?
The Thailand Digital Entry Card (sometimes called the Thailand Digital Arrival Card) is an online travel registration that must be completed by most non‑Thai nationals before entering Thailand. Starting 1 May 2025, all foreign travellers-tourists, business visitors, visa‑exempt passengers and those on visa‑on‑arrival-must submit the digital form electronically at least 72 hours (three days) before their scheduled arrival.
The digital card replaces the paper TM6 immigration form and helps Thai authorities pre‑screen arrivals, improve security and streamline entry procedures. Once approved, your digital entry card will be linked to your passport and sent to you via email; you can save it on your smartphone or print a copy to present at immigration.
Visitors still need to comply with any visa requirements-this card does not replace a visa. If you need a visa (for example, for long‑term stays, work or study), obtain it separately and then complete the digital entry card before traveling.
Who needs a Thailand Digital Entry Card?
- Tourism – Holidays, sightseeing, visiting friends or family
- Business – Meetings, conferences, or similar business activities
- Short Study Programs – Travellers taking part in brief study programs or workshops
- Transit – Passing through Thailand en route to another destination
Thailand’s immigration bureau requires that the digital card be submitted within three days prior to arrival, so be sure to complete your registration in time.
Eligibility & Validity
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) – Starting 1 May 2025, all non‑Thai nationals entering Thailand by air, land, or sea must complete an online TDAC before travel. The digital form replaces the old paper arrival card and gathers passport, travel and health details.
You must submit it within three days of your arrival, after which you will receive a digital confirmation linked to your passport via email. This confirmation must be presented to immigration officials when entering the country. The TDAC is an immigration requirement and does not replace a visa; entry conditions may change as Thai authorities update the system
